Job Announcement:
Reserve Township Police Department is looking for a motivated certified police officer for the full-time supervisory position of Sergeant.
* Potential for $1,000 sign-on bonus upon hire*
Minimum Qualifications for consideration:
- 5 (five) years full-time experience as a certified police officer.
- No written reprimands or unpaid suspensions within the past 5 (five) years of employment.
- Must pass (60% or higher) police supervisory written exam, oral panel interview, and background check.
- Along with normal patrol responsibilities, the ability to complete administrative tasks such as Use of Force Evaluations, Body Worn Camera review, incident report reviews / approvals, and have a good understanding and enforcement of police policies / procedures.
- Applicant must have effective communication skills, leadership qualities, and hold integrity and professionalism to a high standard.
Applicant’s must give permission to release personnel file information to Reserve Township for background investigation.
2026 Collective Bargaining Agreement provides for full family health, dental and vision coverage, $50,000 group term life insurance, short-term disability and participation in Teamsters Legal Defense Fund as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
