Job Announcement
Reserve Township Police Department is looking for a motivated certified police officer for the full-time supervisory position of Sergeant.
* Potential for $1,000 sign-on bonus upon hire*
Minimum Qualifications for consideration:
+ 5 (five) years full-time experience as a certified police officer.
+ No written reprimands or unpaid suspensions within the past 5 (five) years from current employer.
+ Must pass physical fitness test (see below), supervisory exam (Stanard First-Line Supervisor Test), oral panel interview, and background check.
+ Along with normal patrol responsibilities, the ability to complete administrative tasks such as Use of Force Evaluations, Body Worn Camera review, incident report reviews / approvals, and have a good understanding and enforcement of police policies / procedures.
+ Applicant must have effective communication skills, leadership qualities, and hold integrity and professionalism to a high standard.
Reserve Township Police Department Physical Fitness Test. (Cooper Institute “Absolute” Standard):
– Minimum 29 sit-ups in 60 seconds
– Minimum 20 push-ups in 60 seconds
– 300-meter sprint 72 seconds or less
2025 Collective Bargaining Agreement provides for full family health, dental and vision coverage, $50,000 group term life insurance, short-term disability and participation in Teamsters Legal Defense Fund as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
